How to structure solar quote follow-up

Build a follow-up process around clear next actions, useful communication and long-term nurture instead of repeated generic reminders.

A solar proposal can sit between a strong consultation and a long decision process. The CRM should make the next action explicit without turning follow-up into a stream of identical messages.

When the quote is sent, record who owns the opportunity, when the first follow-up happens and what question needs to be answered. A task with context is more useful than a generic reminder to call.

Different prospects need different paths. Some are ready to discuss timing. Others are comparing proposals, waiting for a household decision or considering solar and battery options. Use notes, fields and tags only when they help the team respond appropriately.

If an opportunity is not ready now, move it to a defined nurture stage rather than leaving it in active follow-up forever. Re-engagement should offer a useful reason to talk again.
